Creating an HCM (Human Capital Management) report with OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence)
Hello, today we will create a simple HR report using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence in Oracle HCM Cloud. I couldn't change my screen Interface language sorry for the Turkish screenshots.
After logging into HR Cloud, type “Report” in the search bar and click on Reports and Analytics.
After that, click on “Browse Catalog” from here.
You can see the folder directory on the left side here. After selecting a folder from here,
Click on “New” and then select “Add Analysis.”
This is similar to information sets in SAP HR. Here, we choose a subject area that will meet our needs. I selected the subject area for real-time employee assignment.
This also bears a significant resemblance to the Ad Hoc screen. Here, we can find the desired fields in the relevant folders, and at the same time, we can search for our fields by using the search functionality.
When you hover over the search result here, black text indicating which folder the information belongs to appears.
After dragging and dropping to add it to our report, let’s go to the Results section.
As you can see, all employee names have appeared.
Now, let’s go back to the Criteria section and add a filter for Employee Name. Click on the settings icon next to the employee name and select “Filter.”
Here, I selected “Starts With” from the Operator section.
Then, to add another filter, I press the “Add Filter” button again. To get names that start with ‘C’ and end with ‘A’, I select the “Ends With” operator and enter ‘A’ as the value.
As you can see, it brought me the names Ceren, Rümeysa, and Ceyda.
If we go to the Columns and select Column Properties here,
Here, we can make adjustments related to font. I gave my data a black background and black color to prevent personal data from being visible.
When you enter more columns than can fit on the screen, it doesn’t fit. For this, click on “Show Properties” and select the option “Fit to Content Pages” to display by content pages.
Save and name your report as shown on the screen. This way, you can reuse it later.
Now, let’s go back to the Catalog screen.
From here, find and open the report you created.
From here, you can export it to different formats by selecting “Export.”
